Minnesota Pay Transparency Requirement

Minnesota Pay Transparency Requirement

Beginning January 1, 2025, employers with 30 or more employees in Minnesota must disclose in each job posting the salary range and a general description of the benefits, including but not limited to any health or retirement benefits, for the job.

The law applies to job postings by the employer or through third parties, such as staffing agencies. The listed pay range must be a good faith estimate by the employer and cannot be open ended. If an employer does not plan to offer a salary range for a position, a fixed pay rate must be listed.
